Welcome to the College for Financial Planning’s monthly audio series, Financial Planning Perspectives 2007. This month’s presentation, July 2007, will focus on “Talking to Young Adults about Money, Credit & Insurance: Getting Them Started Down the Right Path Earning Clients for Life,” by Janet Arrowood.
Janet Arrowood is the Managing Director of The Write Source, Inc., a Littleton, Colorado-based financial and technical training and writing firm. She has been a registered representative and brokerage operations manager and currently develops training materials and writes articles for the financial services industry. Some of her materials include ethics courses for insurance advisors and the Financial Planning Association, articles in Registered Rep magazine, Advisor Today magazine, www.smallbusinessreview.com magazine, and Financial Playbook magazine. Arrowood also provides training in technical writing, proposal writing, and grant writing through Mountain States Employers Council, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, various chambers of commerce, and many top companies both in the U.S. and overseas.
Janet is the author of Financial Success for Young Adults and Recent Graduates: Managing Money, Credit, and Your Future, The Professional Advisor’s Insurance Desk Reference, and Mathematics for ESL Learners. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and has completed graduate courses in operations research at George Washington University. This is Janet’s fourth year as an audio presenter for the Financial Planning Perspective series.
