What is exit planning? According to Business Enterprise Institute, Inc. (www.exitplanning.com), it is the creation and execution of a strategy allowing owners to exit their businesses on their terms and conditions. This session will provide the background for the wave of small business transfers that are expected to occur as a result of the Baby Boomer generation continuing their journey into retirement. Further, it will introduce the financial advisor to concepts and strategies that will promote meaningful conversations with small business owner prospects and clients, which will in turn place the financial advisor in a key advisory role with the small business owner.
